I have panic attacks pretty frequently, because i’ve got moderate to severe anxiety. So it’s not always has to be with drugs. I was hospitalized once because of it.

Get some Xanax. It is the silver bullet for panic attacks; better than Klonopin or Valium or Ativan. I am a Licensed Psychiatric Technician. Take some Xanax. It really works. Just don’t stop taking it cold turkey you must taper off of any psyche med.

    I keep breathing …
I keep breathing out slowly though my nose (and let the breathing in take care of itself) when I have a panic attack, and continually tell myself that everything is ok and nothing bad is going to happen when I have a panic attack. The nose breathing helps a lot and means that I don’t have to constantly walk out of lessons and all that stuff.

You seem like a rly sweet and intelligent girl. I hope things work out for you. You kind of remind me of an X-girlfriend. :P The thing I recomended in the other post was a regular diet, exercise, and sleep. Force yourself to socialize and get out of the house and enjoy the outdoors. Breathe deeply and know that it’s all going to be OK.

Panic attacks are mostly caused by a massive burst of adrenaline in the blood.

Honey, a lot of us miss stuff when we are feeling down. I used to say to myself when I was in my early twenties how come people think I look so good on the ‘outside,’ but I feel so miserable and feel so ugly on the inside. Teh good news is that it passes–truly, I kid you not. Good for you for exercising, just keep up the fluids with electrolytes, dilute gatorade, propel, etc. When you’re depressed and stressed out, it’s easy to forget

    I have panic …
I have panic attacks as well, and I feel with everyone else having them. I have been through the same process of ER and doctor visits telling me nothing is wrong even with heart rate of 180 for half an hour, numb hands and near blackouts.

I currently believe I have found what causes it for me though! : MOUTH BREATHING… I have been breathing through my nose exclusively for many days now, and IT IS MIRACULOUS! No medicine, just nose breathing (4-6 pr minute). Please try it!
