    breathing control helps,,,try counting on the inhale such as 1 thousand 1, one thousand 2, one thousand 3, exhale to a count of four..focus on counting this will help with clearing your mind. you want to keep outside thoughts out. you must practice couple of times a day at least when you are not having anxiety.

    Sorry for the double reply but there were some typos in my original post:

    I have tried breathing exercises for panic/anxiety attacks and they do diddly squit for me.

    Plus they are incredibly boring and cause me to focus more on my symptoms than if i were to go do some cross stitching, for example. At least with the cross stitching i get so absorbed in what im doing that i tend to forget about the panic attack and any odd symptoms im getting.

    Cross stitching is incredibly relaxing.
