How can I control my panic attacks better? ?
At the moment I have a lot of things going on in my life, they are life changing events, and I’m very scared. I keep having small panic attacks and can’t think of anything else then what is going on. How can I focus on something else and try and be more positive about what’s going on.
Use things like positive self talk and deep breathing exercises. When you are having negative thoughts that lead to panic attacks you need to recognize it and force yourself to change your state of mind. Identify all the thoughts you have that are leading to the panic attacks. Then you think of all the reasons those thoughts are overestimating the situation and counter them with thoughts that are positive. It might sound funny but with a little practice it can work great. Deep breathing exercises are also a great way to calm yourself down. I recommend a book called “The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook” It has great ways of overcoming panic attack. If all this fails you can see a psychiatrist and get a prescription to help you mood.
help/cures for preventing panic attacks??
i've recently had like 4 panic attacks and i think i have a panic disorder…have any of you taken treatment for preventing panic attacks and what helps…even if it's not medicine?? i really need to know!
i'm also under 18, and i saw that a lot of people who asked about help for them recommended anti-depressants, but you have to be 18 to take them. But i found this website that had this medicine called Seredyn and it said it was all natural..has anyone tried it?

How do you stop symptoms of Panic Attacks?
I just developed panic attacks and i fear that im going to die. I been having them for 3 weeks and about 4 times a day lasting 4-6 hrs everytime. It feels so bad so i want them to go away. Also the deep breathing makes it worse. The panic attacks seem to worsen right before i laydown or as im trying to fall asleep.
Songs seem not to help. Relaxation doesnt seem to work all the time.
I get this a lot before I'm going to bed as well. Suddenly I'll start thinking I'm going to die, then I feel like my heart is racing, etc etc. Start thinking I won't wake up and then it gets even worse! It's a vicious cycle once it begins, but you know that.
You need to just tell yourself when it begins "This is just a panic attack. This is just my mind. This is all in my head so I cannot die."
I know it's really hard to get this thought process going when you're in the moment, but you have to force yourself, basically.
Yes, deep breathing makes it worse because you end up taking deep, fast breaths which can make you light headed when you're not even having a panic attack, let alone when you are.
You should also look into getting help. There's a source for these panic attacks and you need to figure them out. Once you find why, you can start fixing it.
i have panic attacks which causes high blood pressure at times it is so scary to me?
Panic attacks can be scary and can cause you to feel like you're going to die or pass out. Please see a doctor about them. Understanding why you have them is important. It is usually caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. And there are meds that can help. When I started having panic attacks, I had no idea what they were. I just stayed home in my comfort zone, until I finally found out there were others like me and I sought counciling. With knowledge and meds, I am now almost panic free. It took a while, but with help, you can be panic free also. Good luck.
